Since 1974 the RIP Expansion Project has provided services to
aid in the development and operation of Regional Intervention
Program replication sites. Professional staff, administrative
staff, parents and board members from sponsoring agencies in the
United States, Canada, Venezuela, and Brazil have participated
in the development of replication sites. Training is conducted
at the Regional Intervention Program facility in Nashville, Tennessee.
The training cycles are six weeks in duration for prospective
staff from new sites. Training services are provided without charge
to approved sponsoring agencies within the state of Tennessee.
Each replication site must address specific community needs and
be prepared to accommodate special local circumstances. At the
same time, each site must incorporate essential elements of the
RIP model in its design and operation. The RIP Expansion Project
is available to provide continued assistance in program development
and conducting ongoing training activities, meetings, and conferences.
